Job summary

DBS Bank Asia Hub in Singapore invites a Business Analyst to work across Payments, Accounts, Entitlements and Notifications teams. You will collect and document business requirements, translate them into user stories and functional specs, and guide cross‑functional discussions with engineering and QA teams.

You will drive workshops, maintain rigorous documentation, support Agile ceremonies, and ensure traceability from BRD/FSD to test scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking, Financial Services or Technology projects.
• Knowledge of Corporate Internet Banking, Digital Banking, Payments or Financial Services platforms.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication with business users, developers, testers and stakeholders.
• Experience preparing User Stories, BRD, FSD, Process Flows, Acceptance Criteria, and Traceability Matrices.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand, analyze and document business requirements for the Payments Domain.
• Facilitate requirement gathering workshops and walkthroughs.
• Translate requirements into functional specs, user stories, and process flows.
• Collaborate with engineering to explain requirements and support design discussions.
• Maintain project documentation to ensure traceability and clarity.
• Support Agile delivery including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
• Coordinate with Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Approvals and Notification teams.
• Document payment workflows, approval flows, and entitlement rules.
• Assist in test planning and UAT by defining business scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Help QA/Test Automation define test scenarios from requirements.
• Validate delivered functionality against requirements and manage defects.
• Ensure version control of all requirements and changes.
• Participate in release planning and production deployment prep.
• Leverage AI productivity tools to improve documentation and QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners and operations teams to understand, analyze and document business requirements for the Payments Domain.


• Facilitate requirement gathering workshops, discussions and walkthrough sessions to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and documented.


• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, business rules, acceptance criteria and implementation-ready documentation.


• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to explain requirements, clarify functional scenarios, and support solution design discussions.


• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation to ensure requirements, assumptions, decisions and scope are clearly recorded and traceable, minimizing ambiguity during development and testing.


• Support Agile delivery activities including backlog grooming, sprint planning, user story refinement, requirement reviews and sprint demonstrations.


• Work with Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Approvals and Notification teams to understand process dependencies and ensure requirements remain aligned across domains.


• Assist in documenting payment workflows, approval flows, entitlement rules, notification requirements and transaction lifecycle processes.


• Support test planning, test case preparation and UAT activities by ensuring business scenarios and acceptance criteria are well defined.


• Work with QA and Test Automation teams to help develop functional, integration and automation test scenarios based on documented requirements.


• Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and support defect triage, root cause discussions and issue resolution activities.


• Ensure all requirements, changes and enhancements are properly version-controlled and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.


• Participate in release planning, production deployment preparation and post-release validation activities.


• Leverage AI-enabled productivity tools to improve requirement documentation, analysis and quality assurance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.




• 2-4 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking, Financial Services or Technology projects.




• Basic understanding of Corporate Internet Banking, Digital Banking, Payments or Financial Services platforms.
