Job summary

The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank faculty position in Digital Finance and AI. We seek a scholar with a strong research record in digital finance and experience using machine learning or AI tools in their work.

The appointee will contribute to interdisciplinary research across design, AI, engineering, economics, and education, and help shape new undergraduate courses.

Qualifications

• Strong record of research output and potential for external funding.
• Experience applying AI/ML in finance or interdisciplinary contexts is preferred.
• Ability to lead and teach undergraduate courses in Digital Finance.

The Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS) cluster at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank faculty position in Digital Finance and AI (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level).

We are seeking an outstanding scholar in digital finance. Experience using machine learning, artificial intelligence or other tools in their research is preferred.

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain a strong research profile including publications and grant funding
• Contribute to interdisciplinary research, in particular relating to Design and AI, through collaboration with colleagues in engineering, architecture, computer science, and design.
• Lead the development and teaching of new undergraduate courses in Digital Finance for an interdisciplinary undergraduate degree in design, artificial intelligence, and economics
• Mentor doctoral and postgraduate students in Digital Finance or related interdisciplinary fields
• Experience or interest in fostering collaborations with industry or the public sector will also be considered an advantage.

Applicants should have an excellent record of effective teaching at the university level. We especially seek scholars with the potential to develop new directions in interdisciplinary research and who are interested in collaborating with scientists and technologists.
