Job summary

ELEMENT CONSTRUCTION TESTING (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a civil/ materials testing professional to operate NDT testing for concrete building materials. The role includes test arrangement, execution, and reporting, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will guide coworkers and clients in data interpretation, support attendance to SINGLAS accreditation, and contribute to staff development by delivering technical training and sharing knowledge across the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Understanding of civil engineering concepts and terminology.
• Basic algebra and geometry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• In charge of operation of NDT testing for concrete building materials, including test arrangement, testing and reporting.
• Provide counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical data analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SINGLAS Accreditation and inspection readiness.
• Develop and deliver technical training to laboratory colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of operation of NDT testing for Concrete buildings materialsincludes test arrangement, testing and reporting.
• Provides counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical analysis of data.
• Be responsible for SINGLAS Accreditation.
• Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers
• Utilizes an assortment of skills, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysis.
• Capable to read/translate construction drawings and technical requirement in reaching testing conclusions.
• Confident making both formal and information presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
• Review test report and ensure all laboratory are in constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Develop training material and deliver technical training to laboratory colleagues.

Requirements

• Possess minimum a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Material Science.
• Working knowledge of construction site and laboratory safety will be beneficial.
• No experience required
• Possesses a wealth of knowledge, deep awareness and critical understanding related to the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of civil engineering discipline
• Has a depth of specialty knowledge and understanding in multiple areas of civil engineering discipline
• Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s business
• Possess strong computer skills and auto-cad.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
• Possess class 3 driving license is a plus
