Job summary

Lonza Singapore operates a fully site-based Tuas facility. The Associate Engineer will perform 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, collaborating in person to ensure high precision in medicines manufacturing. You’ll gain exposure to SOPs, GMP documentation, and maintenance of production equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical) is required.
• GMP experience is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate SAP to perform transactions.
• Execute routine and repair work orders as directed by Engineer/Supervisor.
• Ensure maintenance work is performed per schedule.
• Maintain GMP documentation accurately and fully.
• Read PID and equipment drawings to identify components.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis and Risk Assessments, Fall Protection, Working at Height.
• Be on shift or available on-call to support operations and maintenance calls.
• Complete other duties as assigned by Engineer, Supervisor or Manager.

Job description

This is a fully site‑based role at Singapore Tuas. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

The Associate Engineer will be required to perform 12 hours rotating day and night shift.

What you’ll do:

• Performs all work safely in compliance with Lonza in-house rules & regulations and
• mandatory Safety WSH Acts requirements. (e.g Permit to Work, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, etc)
• Operate SAP to perform transactions
• Executes routine and repair work orders as assigned by the Engineer/ Supervisor.
• Ensure all routine maintenance works are duly carried out as per schedule.
• Responsible for ensuring all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is
• completed accurately and processed to full completion.
• Perform shift or be available on-call when required & to support ongoing operations and respond to maintenance calls/ service breakdown calls in a timely manner
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment/ systems and ability to read PID drawing, equipment drawing and identifying of components.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment, Fall Protection, Working at Height
• Any other duties as assigned by Engineer, Supervisor/ Manager.
