Job summary

Birlasoft seeks a seasoned SAP FICO Solution Architect to lead finance transformation initiatives in utilities. Deep expertise in R2R, cross‑module integrations, and S/4HANA deployments across global projects is required.

You will collaborate with SD, MM, Group Reporting and SAC teams, contribute to end‑to‑end solution design, and guide delivery teams through SAP Activate lifecycles in international contexts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of domain experience in Utilities, with Finance, Accounting and Management Accounting.
• 10+ years of SAP techno-functional experience in Record-to-Report (Finance & Controlling) with cross-module integrations SD, MM, Group Reporting, and SAC Planning.
• Proven experience delivering at least 5 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementations as a Solution Architect, including 2 with SAC Public Cloud.
• Extensive experience in international project implementations and global rollouts is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP FICO architecture design and delivery.
• Collaborate with SD, MM, Group Reporting and SAC teams to ensure solution alignment.
• Provide functional and technical inputs to SAP BTP and enterprise data teams.
• Create synthetic test data and work with ABAP development teams as needed.

Role - SAP FICO Solution Architect

Experience:

• 6+ years of domain experience in the Utilities industry, with strong expertise across Finance, Accounting, and Management Accounting functions.
• 10+ years of SAP techno-functional experience in Record-to-Report (Finance & Controlling), with a deep understanding of cross-module integrations including SD, MM, Group Reporting, and SAC Planning.
• Proven experience delivering a minimum of 5 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementations as a Solution Architect, including at least 2 implementations involving SAC Public Cloud.
• Extensive experience in international project implementations and global rollouts is mandatory.

Skills:

• Deep expertise in SAP ECC and S/4HANA Public Cloud architecture, configurations, including core innovations, data model, tables, and data elements.
• Strong capability to compare and analyze ECC and S/4HANA data structures, including table- and field-level mappings and impact assessment.
• Proven experience providing functional and technical inputs to SAP BTP and enterprise data teams as part of end-to-end solution design.
• Hands-on experience in creating synthetic test data and working closely with ABAP development teams, with a solid understanding of the SAP Data Dictionary.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (SD, MM, Group Reporting, SAC) and build trusted relationships with clients, leadership, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• SAP S/4HANA certification is an added advantage; Utilities industry experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with SAP Activate methodology across implementation lifecycles.
