Job summary

Montfort Care in Singapore is seeking an Associate Counsellor to facilitate change and improve lives through casework and counselling for individuals, families, and community-facing initiatives. The role includes programme development, implementation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality mental health services.

You will contribute to community mental health initiatives, provide referrals, and prepare reports while engaging with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Review casework interventions for improvements.
• Conduct closure of cases upon achieving desired outcomes for clients and families.

Job Description

The Associate Counsellor is responsible for facilitating change and improving lives for individuals, families, community facing transitional challenges through the provision of casework and counselling. The role includes programme development and implementation, as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mental health services. The Associate Counsellor also contributes and supports the community mental health initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Casework and Counselling

• Conduct casework management, including gathering information, conducting psycho-
• social assessment, identifying common needs and goals for intervention
• Provide case work and counselling to persons with mental health conditions and their caregivers
• Provide information and referral services to link clients to appropriate social services
• Prepare social reports and case notes
• Review casework interventions for improvements.
• Conduct closure of cases upon achieving desired outcomes for clients and families.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build partnerships with healthcare providers and community agencies.
• Plan, organise and implement community outreach events and stakeholder engagements
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, caregivers and partners

Qualification & Skills

Possess Master in Counselling from an accredited institution

Other Information

Relevant Experience

• Preferably 2 years of healthcare/community care clinical experience
• Accredited as Registered Counsellor with Singapore Association for Counselling would be an advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
