Job summary

Bird & Bird Singapore invites an Associate to join our corporate real estate & hospitality team. You will advise on a broad range of real estate transactions, with a focus on corporate structuring, acquisitions, disposals, leasing, and development projects.

Experience in hotels, hospitality and leisure assets is a strong advantage; you will work with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated solutions, conduct due diligence, and keep abreast of market trends and regulatory changes

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 2–4 PQE in corporate real estate or related areas.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Prior exposure to hotel, hospitality, leisure transactions is desirable.
• Familiarity with INLIS portal for searches and drafting instruments is desirable.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and commercially minded.
• Willingness to learn in specialist areas.

• Draft, review, and negotiate sale/purchase agreements, leases, management contracts, and financing documents.
• Support real estate development projects, including regulatory and compliance matters.

• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents such as sale and purchase agreements, leases, management contracts, and financing documents.
• Provide legal support on real estate development projects, including regulatory and compliance matters.
• Assist in structuring deals involving cross-border investments and complex ownership arrangements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas (corporate, intellectual property, dispute resolution, etc) to deliver integrated solutions.
• Conduct due diligence and prepare reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments in the real estate and hospitality sectors.
