Taylor Root is seeking a commercially minded Corporate Real Estate Lawyer to join its Singapore legal team. You will operate at the intersection of real estate, corporate transactions and strategic business advisory, supporting a diverse portfolio across jurisdictions.

Working with senior stakeholders, you will help manage property development, construction and infrastructure matters, while guiding governance, contracts and partnerships to deliver practical, risk-balanced solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' post-qualification experience in real estate and corporate matters.
• Experience advising on property development, construction or investments.
• Ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements across jurisdictions.
• Strong drafting, drafting and review of property-related contracts.

• Provide practical legal advice on real estate and corporate matters.
• Lead drafting and negotiation of property-related agreements (acquisitions, disposals, leases, development, asset management).
• Support development, construction and infrastructure projects through lifecycle.
• Advise on commercial contracts, procurement, service agreements, confidentiality and other operational matters.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and HR to deliver commercial legal solutions.

Our client is seeking a commercially minded Corporate Real Estate Lawyer to join its legal team in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys working at the intersection of real estate, corporate transactions and strategic business advisory.

Working closely with senior business stakeholders, you will play a key role in supporting a diverse portfolio of property, development and commercial activities across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities of Corporate Real Estate Lawyer (5 - 8+ PQE):

• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on a broad spectrum of real estate and corporate matters.


• Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of property-related agreements, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, development agreements and asset management arrangements.


• Support development, construction and infrastructure projects from inception through completion, identifying and mitigating legal risks throughout the project lifecycle.


• Advise on commercial contracts, procurement arrangements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements and other operational matters.


• Partner with finance, operations, human resources and business teams to deliver timely and commercially sound legal solutions.


• Assist with corporate transactions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures and other growth initiatives.


• Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and oversee the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective legal support.


• Contribute to dispute management, regulatory matters and risk mitigation strategies where required.


• Develop and enhance legal processes, playbooks, templates and governance frameworks to improve efficiency and consistency across the business.


• Support corporate governance and company secretarial matters as part of the wider legal function.

Requirements of Corporate Real Estate Lawyer (5 - 8+ PQE):

• Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience, gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal environment.


• Strong experience advising on real estate transactions, property development, construction projects or real estate investments.


• Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and provide pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders.


• Understanding of corporate, commercial and governance matters beyond pure real estate work.


• Experience managing multiple transactions and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong drafting, communication and relationship management skills.


• Commercially astute with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.


• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.


• Exposure to regional or cross-border transactions will be viewed favourably.
