Job summary

National Heart Centre of Singapore Pte Ltd invites applications for an Associate Consultant to join the Department of Cardiology. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing daily specialist outpatient and inpatient care and participate in ward rounds and department teaching seminars.

You will also represent the Centre at medico-legal hearings, assist with training junior doctors, and contribute to clinico-pathological case conferences as required.

Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent recognised by the Singapore Medical Council
• Accredited Specialist in Cardiology with the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore
• At least 6 years post-housemanship clinical experience
• Vaccination proof: Measles/MMR and Tdap as required for healthcare workers

Responsibilities

• Participate in ward rounds and department or hospital teaching seminars.
• Represent the Centre at Coroner’s requests or medico-legal hearings.
• Assist with training and guidance of junior doctors such as Resident Physicians, Medical Officers, Residents and Senior Residents

You will participate in ward rounds and combined department or hospital teaching seminars, including clinico-pathological case conferences. You will also represent the Centre at Coroner’s request or medico-legal hearings involving patients under the care of the department. In addition, you will assist with the training and guidance of junior doctors such as Resident Physicians, Medical Officers, Residents and Senior Residents.

Requirements:

• A basic medical and relevant postgraduate qualification such as MRCP or equivalent, recognised bythe Singapore Medical Council
• An accredited Specialist in Cardiology with the Specialist Accreditation Board of Singapore
• At least 6years’ post-housemanship clinical experience
• Documented proof of:

  (i)Measles (or MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and

  (ii)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
