Job summary

SGX Group seeks a highly analytical, experienced professional to join Securities Exchange Operations. You will lead operations across listings, trading, clearing and settlement, while driving process transformation and strategic initiatives.

The role requires deep knowledge of market infrastructure, strong stakeholder relationships, and a coaching leadership style. You will partner with regulators, issuers, members, vendors, and internal teams to ensure operational readiness and market integrity

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant experience in securities market operations, exchange operations, or related fields.
• Solid understanding of listings, trading, clearing and settlement, and market infrastructure.
• Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and drive change across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily exchange operations across listings, trading, clearing and settlement and related services.
• Provide leadership during market incidents and during 24-hour operations.
• Drive process improvements through automation and digitalisation.
• Head cross-functional projects for new products and platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with regulators, issuers, members, vendors, and internal teams to ensure readiness and integrity.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the effective execution and governance of daily exchange operations across listings and trading, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, and issuer/member support.
• Provide leadership during market incidents, production events, and key operational activities within a 24-hour operating environment.
• Drive process reviews and operational improvements through automation, digitalisation, and enhanced controls.
• Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to support new products, market enhancements, and platform development.
• Partner closely with regulators, issuers, members, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and market integrity.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Support talent development, provide coaching to team members, and contribute to building a high-performing and collaborative team culture.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant experience in securities market operations, exchange operations, capital markets, banking, or brokerage environments.
• Strong understanding of securities markets, listings, trading practices, trade lifecycle processes, clearing and settlement, corporate actions, exchange rules, and market infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and drive change across multiple functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven leadership experience with a passion for coaching and developing others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with AI, SQL, VBA, Python, Power BI, data analytics, or automation technologies will be advantageous.
