Job summary

SGX Group in Singapore seeks an Associate / Senior Associate for the Market Operations team. You will ensure accurate listing, monitoring, and clearing of derivatives products, supporting fair and transparent markets in a fast-paced 24-hour environment.

The role requires 1–4 years in trading or market surveillance, strong knowledge of FICC, and proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint with AI prompt engineering. VBA/Python/R skills are advantageous for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with 1–4 years of relevant working experience in trading and market surveillance and related rules and regulations.
• Strong understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC), and derivatives products and processes across both Exchange-Traded and OTC markets.
• Proven track record of accurate execution with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and AI prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of VBA, R, or Python is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of contract listing, order and trade monitoring, and daily settlement price derivation, as well as project implementation activities.
• Proactively review and enhance processes to maintain high standards of operational efficiency, risk management, and project delivery.
• Analyze complex situations and provide sound recommendations to management to facilitate timely decision-making in a 24-hour operating environment, particularly where underlying issues and solutions are not immediately apparent.
• Lead and drive the successful completion of projects and initiatives that support the development of derivatives products and platforms.
• Build and strengthen relationships with Members and other external stakeholders.
• Support the team manager and supervisors in fostering an effective, collaborative, and high-performing team that contributes to SGX's success.
• Participate in occasional rotations to morning, night shifts, and holiday duties as required
