Job summary

Clifford Capital is seeking an energetic AVP for the Client Coverage Group to support lending activities and transaction origination across Energy & Utilities, Natural Resources, Industrial & Transportation, Social & Digital Infrastructure sectors. The AVP will work with senior CCG members on primary and secondary transactions.

The role involves evaluating projects, building financial models, preparing credit applications, due diligence, and creating pitch books.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree with around 3–4 years of experience, ideally Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking.
• Ability to interact confidently with seniors and collaborate with the team.
• Strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate projects and financing opportunities to determine suitability for financing.
• Build or review financial models and perform cash flow sensitivities.
• Prepare credit applications to seek approval for proposed financing commitments.
• Conduct detailed due diligence and research to support risk analysis and determine acceptability of proposed risk mitigation.
• Prepare pitch books and other marketing materials.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance, Risk, Finance and Treasury for ancillary lending activities (e.g., KYC, risk analysis, funding arrangements, monthly forecasts).

We are seeking an energetic and resourceful AVP to join the Client Coverage Group (CCG) to undertake all the necessary support activities in client coverage as well as transaction origination and execution within in four key sectors, namely Energy & Utilities, Natural Resources, Industrial & Transportation, Social & Digital Infrastructure. The AVP will have the opportunity to work on both primary and secondary transactions in the sectors identified above.

Working with senior members of the CCG team, the incumbent will be responsible for:

• Evaluation of projects and financing opportunities to determine suitability for financing
• Building or review of financial models and performance of cash flow sensitivities
• Preparation of credit applications to seek approval for proposed financing commitments
• Detailed due diligence and research to support the risk analysis and determine acceptability of proposed risk mitigation
• Preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials
• He/she will also work with Legal and Compliance, Risk, Finance and Treasury functions within the company as appropriate for all ancillary activities in support of the lending business, such as KYC, risk analysis, funding arrangements, monthly financial forecasts etc

Knowledge/ Experience Required:

• A relevant degree and with around 3 - 4 years of relevant experience, ideally with Leveraged Finance or Investment Banking background
• Ability to interact confidently with seniors and collaborate effectively with other members of the firm.
• Team player with good organizational skills to deliver on various projects and assignments and to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
