PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore is seeking an Assistant Security Manager to support the Security & Safety Manager in overseeing daily security, loss prevention, workplace safety and emergency-response operations. The role includes supervising security personnel, managing incidents and investigations, and ensuring compliance with security, WSH and fire-safety procedures.

• Oversee daily security operations, shift deployment and manpower coverage.
• Supervise, guide and train Security Supervisors, Senior Security Officers and Security Officers.
• Ensure patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring and key-control procedures are properly carried out.
• Conduct security inspections, risk assessments and vulnerability checks.
• Identify security or safety gaps and follow up on corrective actions.
• Respond to and coordinate security incidents, emergencies, evacuations and crisis situations.
• Conduct investigations into theft, loss, accidents, disturbances and policy breaches.
• Prepare and review incident and investigation reports.
• Support the hotel’s Workplace Safety and Health programme, audits and incident investigations.
• Assist in implementing emergency response, crisis management and business continuity plans.
• Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, table-top exercises and Emergency Response Team training.
• Support the appointed Fire Safety Manager in maintaining fire-safety compliance and emergency readiness.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of CCTV, access-control, alarm and other security systems.
• Coordinate security arrangements for VIP visits, major events and high-profile guests.
• Liaise with the Police, SCDF, vendors and other relevant parties when authorised.
• Assist with manpower planning, performance management, departmental training and budget preparation.
• Address guest safety concerns and ensure the team maintains a professional, service-oriented presence.
• Deputise for the Security & Loss Prevention Manager during their absence.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by Management.

About the role

About you

• Diploma in Security Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Risk Management or a related discipline; candidates with equivalent relevant experience may also be considered
• Minimum 4 years of relevant security or loss-prevention experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
• Possess a valid Security Officer licence where regulated security functions are performed
• Possess relevant WSQ security certifications
• Good knowledge of security operations, loss prevention, WSH, investigations and emergency response
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making and report-writing skills
• Familiarity with CCTV, access-control, alarm and incident-management systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Able to work rotating shifts and respond outside regular working hours where operationally required
