Job summary

Singapore Swimming Club is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead daily dining operations and uphold exceptional guest experiences for members and guests. You will supervise the service team, ensure smooth floor operations, and collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to maintain quality and consistency.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in F&B with supervisory experience, a polished appearance, strong communication, and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience in F&B, supervisory or managerial role.
• Well-groomed with a professional appearance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations and service delivery.
• Supervise service staff, coordinate daily activities, and deploy staff on the floor.
• Assist in revenue and cost control; upsell and monitor food, beverage, and labour costs.
• Ensure health and safety, food safety standards, and club policies.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of service staff.
• Schedule staff and plan rosters to ensure adequate cover during operating hours.
• Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation; take corrective action.
• Review sales, inventory, and manpower reports; flag issues for follow-up.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate when needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and support teams for smooth service; ensure product consistency.
• Participate in inventory checks, stock control, and audits as assigned.
• Support other duties as directed by HOD or Management.

In this role, you will support the Senior Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, guiding the service team, and delivering consistently high standards of service. You will be hands‑on on the floor, working with the team to create welcoming dining experiences for members and guests in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Restaurant Manager in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery and positive member experiences.
• Assist in supervising service staff and coordinating daily service activities, manpower deployment, and floor operations.
• Support revenue and cost control initiatives, including upselling efforts and monitoring of food, beverage, and labour costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and the Club’s policies and procedures.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of service staff to maintain service standards and team effectiveness.
• Support staff scheduling and roster planning to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
• Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards across the restaurant and take corrective action where necessary.
• Assist in reviewing sales, inventory, and manpower reports and highlight operational issues for follow‑up.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues where required.
• Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and support teams to ensure smooth service execution and product consistency.
• Participate in inventory checks, stock control, and operational audits as assigned.
• Support other operational duties as assigned by the HOD or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or GCE ‘O’ Level.
• At least 2 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Well‑groomed with a consistently professional appearance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with, motivate and lead the team.
• Positive and proactive attitude with a readiness to take initiative and motivate others.
• Calm and composed under pressure, maintaining focus to guide the team through busy and challenging situations.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling is a plus.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
