Job Summary Acting as MBS’s representative within the contractual terms applicable, this role is to direct, co-ordinate and supervise assigned projects with the Project Team. The Assistant Project Manager will oversee and provide day-to-day direction for a team of Consultants, Contractors. The Assistant Project Manager will ensure that MBS’ briefs, designs, specifications and relevant information are made available to, and are executed as specified with due regard to cost and time by, the Design Team, Consultants, Construction Manager, Contractors, etc. (i.e. the Project Team), so that MBS’ objectives are fully met. The Assistant Project Manager will maintain control of project schedule, budget and risk issues. This responsibility also includes facilitating timely decisions to maintain Project schedule and budget, as well as provide senior management with regular project updates, identify project risks early, and communicating prudent and timely recommendations for risk avoidance.
Tertiary Degree in a Construction/Building/Project Management/Engineering related field.
Experience Minimum 2 years’ working experience in the field of Project Management with experience working on new-built / A&A building projects. Candidates with more years of experience will be considered for Assistant Manager role.
Other Prerequisites Experience in the Hospitality field and/or live working environment is preferred. Sound knowledge of construction Project Management procedures. Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others. Outstanding organization, coordination and leadership skills – ability to coordinate groups of Consultants/ Contractors. Ability to work in a team environment.
