Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking an Assistant Manager – Project in Singapore to oversee assigned construction projects. You will coordinate design reviews, track site progress, manage budgets, contracts and client relationships to ensure on-time delivery.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in construction. Candidates with Quantity Surveying or Architecture backgrounds are welcome; strong coordination and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design reviews with value engineering and constructability input.
• Ensure timely delivery of drawings for tenders and review subcontractor proposals.
• Monitor schedules, site progress, budgets, cash flow and cost reports.
• Review progress claims, work orders, variations, warranties, and notices.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety requirements.
• Coordinate meetings and maintain client, subcontractor, consultants, and authority relationships.
• Oversee handover, certifications, defect rectification and claims.
• Support tender submissions and attend client tender interviews when required.
• Maintain project documentation and prepare management reports; suggest process improvements.

Role Overview

Manage assigned constructionprojects, coordinating design, site progress, budgets, contracts, and clientrelationships to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate design reviews, incorporating value engineering and constructability considerations.
• Ensure timely delivery of drawings for subcontractor tenders and review subcontractor proposals.
• Monitor project schedules, site progress, budgets, cash flow, and cost reports.
• Review and recommend progress claims, work orders, variations, warranties, and contractual notifications.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality, health, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate project meetings and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and authorities.
• Oversee project handover, certifications, defect rectification, and claims.
• Support tender submissions and attend client tender interviews when required.
• Maintain project documentation, prepare management reports, and recommend process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project & Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with Quantity Surveying or Architecture backgrounds are also welcome.
• Minimum five years of experience in the construction or building sector.
• Experience with an A1 Main Contractor is an advantage.
