Job summary

ABR Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced Outlet Chef to lead culinary operations across our West Region outlets. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional dining experiences while upholding food quality, safety, and presentation standards.

You will manage kitchen workflow, inventory, and staffing, mentor the kitchen team, and ensure cost control and regulatory compliance. A formal culinary background and 5+ years in a busy kitchen are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience in a busy kitchen.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional hospitality setting.
  • Proven expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques and menu development.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in kitchen management and supervision of culinary staff.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Physical fitness and stamina for a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Experience in a similar outlet-based environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure kitchen runs in compliance with MOE’s and government regulations; implement in-house cleaning schedule.
  • Determine safe inventory levels and order stock; enforce strict receiving, checking and storage procedures.
  • Coordinate customer orders and guide the crew to prepare orders promptly.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain consistency and quality standards across all dishes.
  • Control costs through portioning, wastage reduction and proper inventory management; perform monthly stock checks.
  • Manage labor costs with effective manpower scheduling.
  • Plan staff rosters.
  • Maintain kitchen equipment through preventive maintenance programs.
  • Enforce discipline and proper conduct among kitchen staff.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by management.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Outlet Chef to join our dynamic team at ABR Holdings Limited across our islandwide outlets in the West Region. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to lead culinary operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As an Outlet Chef, you will be at the heart of our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation whilst maintaining our commitment to culinary excellence.

What you'll be doing
  1. Ensure that the kitchen runs in compliance with MOE’s and other Government authorities’ regulation. Implement in-house cleaning schedule for the kitchen

  2. Determine kitchen’s safe level of inventory. Order kitchen’s inventory to meet requirement for business. Ensure strict receiving, checking and storage procedures for all food items.

  3. Coordinate the customers’ food orders and give directions to the crew so that all orders can be prepared in a timely and orderly manner.

  4. Train kitchen’s crew in food preparation skills and knowledge

  5. Ensure consistency and standard in quality of all food items prepared.

  6. Exercise cost controls by ensuring accurate portioning of food items, minimizing wastage and proper inventory control. Conduct monthly stock checks of all food items.

  7. Keep kitchen’s labor costs within control by effective manpower scheduling.

  8. Plan for Staff Roster.

  9. Maintain in good condition for all kitchen equipment through implementation of maintenance programs

  10. Enforce discipline and ensure proper conduct of all kitchen staff.

  11. To undertake any other duties and responsibilities that assigned by the management.

What we're looking for
