Job summary

A global clean-mobility technology leader based in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to production processes. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and aiding in the installation of new equipment in a dynamic environment. Candidates should have a diploma in mechanical or relevant engineering fields and possess hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential. Expect rotating shifts and overtime support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
  • Bonus for 2-3 years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and basic industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and technical support to manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support hardware upgrades and control system improvements.
  • Identify and resolve process issues to improve product quality.
  • Manage inventory of equipment spare parts.
  • Assist in installation and qualification of new equipment.
  • Support new product start-ups for smooth production ramp-up.
  • Work with operators to address operational issues.
  • Provide production support during overtime periods.

Working schedule:

5 days work week, rotating shift basis

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering and technical support to manufacturing equipment and production processes
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment to ensure reliability and optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment faults to minimise machine downtime
  • Support equipment hardware upgrades and control system (software) improvements
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve process issues to reduce scrap and improve product quality
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of equipment spare parts and inventory levels
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Support new product, programme, or model start-ups to ensure smooth production ramp-up
  • Work closely with production operators, supervisors, and cross-functional support teams to address operational issues
  • Provide production support during overtime periods, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Apply strong hands‑on knowledge of manufacturing and moulding processes to support daily operations
Key Requirements:
  • Min. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Triple E, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Bonus if have at least 2-3 years of hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and basic industrial automation systems
  • Willing to work rotating shifts and support overtime as and when required
  • Good communication skills and able to work in a team‑based manufacturing environment
