Job summary

Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd (SingHealth HQ) seeks a proactive professional to develop research data policies and manage IRDB/SDAC operations, integrating AI, automation, and governance across the research ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, science, or engineering discipline.
• Experience with workflow automation and digital solutions such as Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Forms, AI tools, or equivalent platforms advantageous.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in research administration, secretariat functions, or data management.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and methods is advantageous.
• A keen interest in applying data and AI in healthcare.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, governance frameworks, guidelines, and SOPs relating to research data, AI, and emerging technologies.
• Support compliance with SingHealth and MOH regulations, particularly data privacy, security, and ethical research conduct.
• Participate in shaping institutional and cross-institutional data governance and AI frameworks in healthcare.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the IRDB and SDAC, including application reviews and stakeholder engagement.
• Transform and streamline IRDB operations through digital technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
• Identify process improvements and redesign workflows with stakeholders.
• Support expansion into adjacent domains spanning data, platform development, and grant management.

Join SingHealth's Office of the Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research) and contribute to shaping how healthcare data and emerging technologies, including AI, are responsibly used to transform research across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of research, data governance, policy, and technology while supporting the next generation of research data access and governance frameworks.

We are seeking a proactive and innovative individual to support the development of research data policies and manage the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Research Data Board (IRDB) and SingHealth Data Access Committee (SDAC). Beyond governance operations, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting digital transformation initiatives, including the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, and workflow technologies to improve operational efficiency, governance processes, and user experience across the research ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

You will support the development and implementation of policies, governance frameworks, guidelines, and standard operating procedures relating to research data, AI, and emerging technologies. This includes contributing to policy work within the broader SingHealth Data Innovation and Research Platform (SDIRP) ecosystem, while supporting compliance with SingHealth and Ministry of Health regulations, particularly in areas related to data privacy, security, and ethical research conduct. This role will give you the opportunity to participate in shaping institutional and cross-institutional frameworks for data governance and AI in healthcare.

You will manage the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Research Data Board (IRDB) and SingHealth Data Access Committee (SDAC), including application review, stakeholder engagement, governance assessments, and coordination of committee processes to facilitate appropriate access to research data.

In addition, you will support efforts to transform and streamline IRDB operations and governance processes through the use of digital technologies, workflow automation and AI-enabled solutions. This includes identifying process improvement opportunities, working with stakeholders to redesign workflows, developing and enhancing automation solutions (e.g. Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate and AI tools), and supporting the implementation of scalable digital solutions to improve efficiency, transparency, governance tracking and user experience.

As the Office expands its capabilities, you will have opportunities to grow into adjacent domains spanning data, platform development and grant management.

Job Requirements
