Job summary

NTUC First Campus Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager, HR System to administer and optimize our HR tech stack, including SAP SuccessFactors and Workday modules, while ensuring data integrity and SLA adherence.

You will lead HR system modules, drive automation via RPA/Workato, partner with IT and HR users, and develop SOPs to support seamless daily operations across HR workflows. This role requires meticulous collaboration and a strong foundation in HR technology and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
  • 5–7 years’ HR technology/operations experience.
  • Experience with HR enterprise systems (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, ECP).
  • Led HR system enhancements and UAT processes.

Job description

The Assistant Manager (AM), HR System plays a pivotal role in administering and maintaining NFC’s suite of HR systems to ensure seamless, compliant and efficient daily operations. Reporting to the HR Systems Manager, the AM works closely with cross-functional teams to provide dedicated first-level support to users, champions operational best practices, and safeguards data integrity across systems like HR enterprise systems, applicant tracking systems, payroll systems.

This role will serve as a dedicated module lead, taking ownership of assigned HR system modules to ensure stability, optimization, and continuous improvement. The AM will also manage and support Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Workato initiatives in close collaboration with IT, driving localized process enhancements and embedding automation in HR workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly meticulous, customer-service oriented, and possesses an adequate understanding of HR technologies and automation tools and AI driven solutions to support ongoing system maintenance, innovation and operational excellence.

System Maintenance & Governance
  • Act as dedicated module lead for assigned HR system modules, ensuring stability, optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain foundation objects and perform routine system configurations and data updates across HR systems.
  • Develop, document and maintain clear and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR system processes.
  • Conduct code reviews (RPA) with IT to uphold best practices and deliver high-quality automation solutions.
  • Provide first-level technical support to HR users by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and service requests within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Automation & Innovation
  • Ideate, explore, and recommend creative, robust, and scalable solutions to streamline processes and improve productivity with the use of technologies and tools (e.g. AI, RPA, Workato and Google Apps Script).
  • Lead / Support end-to-end project cycle activities, such as requirements gathering, prototype, testing, data migration, training, go-live and post-production support.
  • Project manage RPA & Workato initiatives within the HR department. Liaise closely with IT to build creative automation solutions and champion change management by working directly with HR users to test, troubleshoot, and implement these initiatives to streamline everyday workflows and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with business users, IT and/or vendors to ensure user requirements are met satisfactorily and projects are delivered within timeline and scope.
Training and Support
  • Provide training and support to HR staff and employees on HR systems, automation tools, and data reporting platforms; develop clear user manuals and documentation aligned with SOPs.
Project/Strategic Support
  • Support any other strategic initiatives or work as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in HR technology, or HR operations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in managing HR enterprise systems, especially SAP SuccessFactors, Employee Central Payroll (ECP), WorkDay or equivalent
  • Proven experience in leading end-to-end project cycles for HR system enhancements, including managing localized process improvements, coordinating complex system upgrades, and directing rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality delivery and system optimization
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with expertise in formulas, pivot tables and data manipulation to drive technical insights and decision-making
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset to ensure data integrity across various HR platforms and proactively manage technical risks
  • Capable of identifying and addressing system-related issues proactively while meeting operational deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) in a dynamic environment
  • Highly agile and organized, with the ability to work both independently and in team settings to support multiple projects and troubleshooting requests concurrently
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams, influence stakeholders, and champion change management
Good to have
  • Familiarity with RPA (UiPath), Workato, and low-code tools (Power Automate) using Python or VBA; basic understanding of AI-driven solutions and productivity tools to enhance service delivery.
  • Experience with data reporting and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Google Apps Script) to drive technical insights.
  • Awareness of PDPA standards, Continuous Improvement frameworks, Employee Experience design principles, and risk management/audit functions within technical HR environments.
