Job summary

Our client, a Japanese-listed construction company, is seeking an Assistant Manager (Electrical) to join their team in Singapore.

The role focuses on supporting project delivery, including schedule, quality, safety and cost control to ensure successful completion according to plan.

Responsibilities

• Support overall project delivery, including project schedule, quality, safety, and cost control, to ensure successful completion according to plan.
• Assist in developing project construction plans, master schedules, quality and safety plans, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Manage and oversee site installation and construction activities in accordance with approved installation methods and project requirements.
• Coordinate project schedules and site activities with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor the progress, quality, safety, and cost performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders and assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.
• Support the negotiation and management of variations and changes with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Establish and maintain effective communication among project stakeholders and site teams.
• Lead, coach, and support site staff and junior team members.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide guidance and training to enhance team performance.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues arising on site to ensure smooth project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement of construction methods and processes through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.
• Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards, statutory requirements, codes of practice, and client requirements.
• Support the Project Manager / Construction Manager in motivating the project team and fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
