Job summary

YSQ International is seeking a hands-on professional to lead digitalization of manufacturing operations across its Singapore plants. The role combines mapping current processes, designing new workflows, defining system requirements, and driving adoption.

As an individual contributor, you will work with IT on build and go-live, develop Power BI reporting, and ensure standardised practices across factories. You should have a Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and 2–4 years of BPM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business process improvement or manufacturing operations.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge; ERP system experience (SAP, Dynamics).
• Proficient in Visio and Excel; Power BI is an advantage.
• Proven ability to drive process change from mapping to adoption.
• Clear communication to business and technical audiences; structured and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Map and redesign production processes including order execution, material issues, reporting, and handover.
• Standardise hand-offs from plan to shop-floor scheduling; design reusable processes by capability.
• Convert process designs into software requirements; collaborate with IT through build, test and go-live.
• Define Power BI reporting for output, yield, wastage, and OEE.
• Lead rollout, training, and communication for new processes and tools; prepare SOPs and forms.
• Track adoption post go-live and close gaps; monitor KPIs (OEE, yield, wastage, schedule adherence).
• Audit process compliance and drive corrective actions; benchmark against best practices.
• Collaborate with Factory Management, Production, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, and IT; run cross-functional workshops.

Job description

Lead business process improvement and digitalization for manufacturing operations across YSQ International's manufacturing entities.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. The incumbent maps the current process, designs the new process, defines the system requirements, and drives adoption.

Success in this role is defined by:

• Standardised manufacturing processes applied across factories that share the same capability
• Process designs delivered into Internal Developed Software and Power BI
• New processes and tools adopted and sustained after go-live

This role is part of the Business Process Digitalization agenda, working under the Head, Document Control & QA.

Part B: Responsibilities and Duties

1. Manufacturing Processes

• Map and redesign production processes: production order execution, material issue and consumption, production reporting, and shift handover
• Standardise the hand-off from production plan to shop-floor scheduling
• Design processes by capability, so they can be reused across factories
• Convert process designs into business requirements for Internal Developed Software
• Work with IT through build, testing, and go-live, and lead user acceptance testing
• Define Power BI reporting for output, yield, material wastage, and OEE

3. Change Implementation & Adoption

• Lead rollout, training, and communication for new processes and tools
• Prepare SOPs, work instructions, and forms in digital format.
• Track adoption after go-live and close gaps
• Track manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, yield, material wastage, and schedule adherence against baseline
• Audit process compliance and drive corrective actions
• Benchmark processes against industry best practice

5. Stakeholder Management

• Work with Factory Management, Production, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, Planning, and IT across entities
• Run cross-functional workshops to agree on common ways of working

6. Other Duties

• Other ad-hoc assignments as required by reporting superior
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in business process improvement, manufacturing operations, or a related field
• Experience in manufacturing operations or industrial engineering is strongly preferred, ideally in tobacco, FMCG, or process manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, production reporting, and shop-floor data capture
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central, SAP, or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Excel; Power BI is an advantage
• Proven delivery of process change from mapping to adoption
• Communicates clearly to business and technical audiences
