Job summary

Mewah Group, a leading global food and agribusiness headquartered in Singapore, is seeking an experienced Assistant Account Manager to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting. The role emphasizes compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, audits, and process improvements.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on finance expertise, strong leadership, and a track record in manufacturing or trading environments to drive automation and efficiency across the finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and/or trading.
• Experience in Big 4 or reputable global audit firm is required.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, hands-on, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee GL, AP, AR, costing & inventory, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of periodic financial reports per group requirements and statutory regulations.
• Prepare and review management reports with insightful analysis.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and their business impact.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Prepare and review GST/VAT and other tax filings and reports.
