Zusammenfassung

PERSOL is seeking an Assistant Manager, Finance on a 1 year contract in Singapore (West) to oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities. The role partners with academic and administrative stakeholders, monitors performance, and drives data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has more than 5 years in FP&A and Controllership, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in SAP and MS Office. This position requires adaptability in a fast-paced university environment.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance is required or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent is beneficial for this role.
• Experience operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment is preferred.

• Partner with academic and administrative stakeholders to provide financial advice and support data-driven decision-making.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with School and University priorities.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and identify risks and opportunities to enhance financial outcomes.
• Oversee revenue management and receivables processes to ensure timely revenue recognition, effective collections, and strong cash flow management.
• Review funding and budget requests, evaluate business cases, and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses, translating complex financial information into actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Maintain effective financial operations and governance by supporting procurement, payments, asset management, financial closing, audit activities, and compliance with University policies and controls.
• Support Finance Business Partner in any other matters

Working hours

Mon to Thur (8.30am to 5.45pm) and Fri (8.30am to 5.15pm)

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent professional qualifications
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification would be beneficial
• Comfortable operating in a matrix structure and in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Ability to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively within the team
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships at all levels
• Strong analytical thinking and communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to handle high volume and multiple stakeholders across all levels in the organisation
• Able to balance attention to detail while maintaining strong understanding of broader strategic objectives
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion
• More than 5 years of experience in a combination of Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
• Good knowledge of SAP system
• Good knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Ariba system would be advantageous
