Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including billing, GL, AR/AP, cost and revenue recognition.
• Support cash flow management, month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, forecasts and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance and assist auditors; maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with regional teams across APAC, including Australia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Reporting to Regional Financial Controller

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Finance Manager to support the Regional Finance Controller in managing all aspects of financial operations in Singapore, with a focus on supporting Australia, Thailand and Indonesia, as well as broader regional finance operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and process optimization while providing strategic insights to drive business performance. The Assistant Finance Managerwill act as a key support member to the Regional Finance Controller, assisting in financial planning, analysis, and execution of initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.

• Support the Regional Finance Controller in overseeing cash flow management, optimizing returns, and minimizing financial risk.

• Support month-end and year-end financial close processes, including preparation and review of relevant financial information.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial reports, including cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts, under the guidance of the Regional Finance Controller.

• Assist in variance analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions.

• Review financial data for discrepancies and implement systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.

Compliance & Internal Controls:

• Support the Regional Finance Controller in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper compliance and facilitate audits.

• Help enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

• Support finance requirements across Australia, Thailand and Indonesia where applicable, including financial reporting, statutory reporting, tax compliance and audit support.

Strategic Collaboration & Business Partnering:

• Work closely with the Regional Finance Controller to provide financial insights and recommendations for business initiatives.

• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to support business performance, decision‑making and financial objectives across Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and broader APAC operations.

• Build strong relationships across business units to align financial goals with organizational objectives.

Process Optimization:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

• Assist in leveraging technology and strategic planning tools to streamline workflows.

Who We Are Looking For

You are a qualified accounting professional with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. You thrive in a collaborative environment, maintain high integrity, and demonstrate reliability and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Ideal Profile

• A degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, with a professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification.

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

• Critical thinker with high attention to detail and reliability.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.

Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

• Ability to distil analytical results into clear and concise presentations.

• Skilled at building trust‑based relationships across business groups.

• Dependable, exercising discretion and confidentiality.

• Australian, Thai and Indonesian finance exposure, including financial reporting, tax compliance, statutory reporting or audit support, would be an advantage.

• Experience supporting finance operations across Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and/or broader APAC markets would be an advantage.
