Job summary

Grand Hyatt Singapore is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support hotel operations, safety, and sustainability through hands-on engineering leadership on-site at Orchard Road.

You will supervise technical teams, coordinate maintenance, manage projects with vendors, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement while delivering guest comfort. This full-time role requires a diploma/degree in engineering and strong cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering management skills including overseeing building systems and maintenance operations.
• Demonstrated team leadership abilities and coaching in diverse teams.
• Experience in project management: planning, scheduling, resources, and vendor coordination.
• Background in software development or tech-enabled systems and integration skills.
• Diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical/electrical) or related field.
• Knowledge of local codes, safety regulation, and preventive maintenance standards in hospitality or commercial properties.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and decisions in time-sensitive situations.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration with guests, peers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel systems and guestroom facilities.
• Coordinate daily work schedules and supervise engineering staff.
• Manage projects with vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on system integrations.
• Monitor compliance with local regulations and maintain accurate records.
