Job summary

PACC Offshore Services Holdings Limited is seeking a Hull and Structural Steel Production Supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise activities in the shipyard, ensuring safety, efficiency and alignment with project schedules and quality standards.

You will prepare job lists, schedules, material take-offs, and manpower plans; oversee procurement in collaboration with Purchasing; monitor costs, KPI achievement, and step in as Department Head when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Marine related field with shipyard exposure.
• Higher Nitec in Marine Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Shipyard Supervisor Safety Course or equivalent safety training.
• Experience with Workplace Safety & Health Risk Assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate hull and structural steel production activities.
• Read technical specifications, prepare job lists, work schedules and take-offs.
• Plan manpower, materials and coordinate with purchasing for timely deliveries.
• Manage costs, attend vessel issues and achieve department KPIs.
• In absence of Department Head, oversee overall steel department activities and support the Section Project Lead.
• Handle ad-hoc duties as required.

Job description

Responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising hull and structural steel production activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules, drawings and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical specifications, prepare job-list, work schedule, plan material take-offs and manpower planning of yard men and contractors for each given job. Report to department head and update any exotic materials with long lead time.
• Planning manpower and materials, including all facilities.
• Order the materials required as per material take-off and coordinate with the purchasing department for timely delivery of materials.
• Plan and execute works including manpower planning, cost control, attending vessel issues, and achieving department targets and KPIs.
• In the absence of the Department Head, be responsible for the overall activities of the steel department. Assist the Section Project Lead in day-to-day operations.
• Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
