Kuok Group Singapore is seeking a capable supervisor to lead hull and structural steel production activities, ensuring safety, efficiency and adherence to project schedules and drawings. You will read technical specs, prepare job lists, plan materials and manpower, and coordinate with yard personnel and contractors for timely delivery.

You will plan resources, monitor costs, address vessel issues, and support the Department Head.

Formación

Diploma in Marine, Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
Higher Nitec in Marine Engineering.
Shipyard Supervisor Safety Course.
Workplace Safety & Health Risk Assessment.

Responsabilidades

Read and understand technical specifications, prepare job-list, work schedule, plan material take-offs and manpower planning of yard men and contractors for each given job. Report to department head and update any exotic materials with long lead time.
Planning manpower and materials, including all facilities.
Order the materials required as per material take-off and coordinate with the purchasing department for timely delivery of materials.
Plan and execute works including manpower planning, cost control, attending vessel issues, and achieving department targets and KPIs.
In the absence of the Department Head, be responsible for the overall activities of the steel department. Assist the Section Project Lead in day-to-day operations.
Any other ad-hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
