Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking an Assistant Engineer, Maintenance (Submarine) on a contract basis at our SG site. You will maintain submarine electronics systems including radar, communications, sonar and weapon systems aboard ships and shore facilities, working with fellow engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities include installation/removal, repair, and overseeing maintenance operations at team or workshop level. Naval electronics exposure is a plus; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electronics / Telecommunication / Digital and Network Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Naval experience in electronics systems is an advantage.
• Shipboard electronics knowledge (radar, comms, sonar, weapons) is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Singaporean only; open to 2-year contract, renewable.

As an Assistant / Maintenance Engineer (Submarine), you will be responsible for the maintenance of electronics systems such as radar, communication, sonar and weapon systems onboard submarines and shore facilities. You will work closely with other engineers, Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to deliver quality maintenance services to our customers. You will have opportunities to be short-listed for participation in short-term overseas attachment and training courses. You will have opportunities to manage maintenance operations at team, workshop or department level.

Qualities We Value

• Knowledge in Electronics / Telecommunication / Digital and Network Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
• Candidates with naval experience in electronics systems will be an advantage.
• Working knowledge and experience on shipboard electronics systems such as radar, communication, sonar and weapon systems will be an advantage but not required as training will be provided.
• Possess good interpersonal skill, teamwork and discipline.
• Motivated and proactive.
