MSI Global Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Engineering professional to support SRTC operations at the Test Centre, coordinating contractors and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant experience; Higher NITEC considered.
  • Experience in OCC operations, loco or heavy rolling stock is preferred.
  • Experience in engineering operations and asset management adds value.

Responsibilities

  • Perform railway operation duties for safety and track access in Test Centre.
  • Coordinate with OCC for safety and security of Test Centre.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety Manual and Rule Book.
  • Coordinate contractors for train delivery and maintenance activities.
  • Support improvement projects and asset reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain operation records and technical reports.
  • Assist reporting, procurement activities and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder requests for operational support.
  • Work shift, overtime and relief as required.

Job Summary

Responsible for SRTC operational support activities, contractor coordination, regulatory compliance and technical projects. The incumbent will support and ensure the safe execution of operational activities while supporting business continuity and organisational objectives. Ensure asset and equipment reliability, timely assistance, issue resolution and compliance with safety and quality standards. Manages and support TFCC, support Yard Master and Shunting teams where required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform railway operation duties such as enforcing safe pedestrian track access control, operate RRV /Loco, setting of routes for train movement, etc. in the Test Centre.
  • Support control centre operations at the OCC building to ensure safety and security of the Test Centre when required.
  • Ensure operations are compliance with the Safety Manual, Rule Book, etc.
  • Co-ordinate with contractors for train delivery related activities into or out of the Test Centre.
  • Able to perform shift duty, work overtime and relief work when required.
  • Liaise closely with contractors for building services/ Rail core system maintenance works within the Test Centre.
  • To ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved standards.
  • Coordinate engineering operations & Maintenance activities to ensure reliability, availability, and continuity of critical assets and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate and manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery and contractual compliance.
  • Support execution of improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, project documentation, technical reports, inspection findings and asset information.
  • Support management reporting, technical evaluations, procurement activities and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder requests relating to operational support services, technical resources, equipment usage and infrastructure requirements.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Job Requirement
  • Diploma holder with Engineering background (Facilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline).
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC with 3 years of relevant experience can be considered.
  • Applicant with substantial experience will be consider for Engineer position.
  • Preferred experience in OCC operations and/or Loco operations and/or Rolling Stock heavy equipment operations.
  • Applicants with relevant experience in engineering operations, asset management, technical support, maintenance management, lifecycle management, infrastructure operations, or project coordination will have added advantage.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
  • Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with project coordination, tender specifications, contractor management, and procurement processes.
  • Understanding of workplace safety requirements and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in budget planning, cost tracking, expenditure monitoring, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance or asset management systems.
