Job summary

SGS Testing & Control Services Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Environmental Services Technician to support field monitoring and lab-related tasks. You will undertake field monitoring, prepare equipment, and assist daily operations of the Environmental Services.

The role requires NITEC or higher, ability to work independently, and good communication. You will ensure compliance with quality systems and safety requirements, and coordinate with laboratory staff to deliver accurate results.

Qualifications

• Min NITEC and above.
• Experience in field work for environmental services or testing is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously.
• Willing to work on-board vessel for environmental monitoring.
• Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to maintain highest quality standards at all times.
• Maintain good turnaround time (TAT) and on time delivery (OTD).
• Technical knowledge and experience in related field and in using quality management methods and tools.
• Able to interact with all levels of management, suppliers and clients.
• Works well under pressure, challenges status quo.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate with Laboratory employees for quality testing and client’s requirement.
• Acquire information on instrument specifications and raise purchase requisition for equipment required.
• Ensure that the Department Quality System is fully implemented.
• Ensure that all operations are conducted within client and recognized industry health and safety requirements.
• Perform any tasks as and when required by management.
