Job summary

NEXON ENERGY PTE. LTD. Singapore seeks an experienced HSE professional to support management in policy and system implementation. The role covers updating, auditing, and enforcing HSE procedures aligned with industry norms and laws.

Responsibilities include coordinating safety trainings, liaising with authorities, and preparing safety documentation for tenders and projects. Candidates should have a background in science/engineering and MOM HSE credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in science/engineering with HSE qualification.
• 5+ years in health, safety and environment in relevant fields.
• Registered HSE Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Responsibilities

• Support Management in HSE policy, guidelines and management systems.
• Implement, update, review and audit HSE systems per corporate guidelines.
• Ensure safe practices in line with legislation and industry norms.
• Lead safety operations and manage workplace resources.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders on safety matters.
• Prepare health and safety documentation for tenders and project plans.

Job description

• Responsible for supporting Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines, HSE Management System
• Responsible for the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems in alignment with the Corporate HSE guidelines.
• Responsible for the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures in line with industry norms and legislation.
• Responsible for the overall management of company resources in the effective and efficient running of safety operations at the workplace.
• Responsible for supporting the Contracts, Engineering, Human Resources and Operations Departments in the areas of HSE aspects.
• Responsible for carrying out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends/ gaps/risks etc and formulating/communicating on improvements.
• Responsible for carrying out in-house safety trainings/workshops.
• Responsible for being a key point of contact and liaison with Clients, authorities and other stakeholders on safety related issues.
• Responsible for preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders and preparation of plans for the projects.
• Responsible for all aspects of HSE including supervision on the
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Diploma in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment
• Registered Officer with the Ministry of Manpower (Specialist Diploma in HSE).
• Work experience of 5 years or more in Health, Safety and Environment in the relevant process plant/ construction /petro-chemical fields), of with at least 5 years.
• Preferably good knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using the right tools/methods, HSE Auditing Techniques and other safety related aspects.
• Dedicated team-player with strong leadership qualities; excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication and supervisory skills
