Job summary

CEENTEK PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Assistant Engineer in the Infrastructural UHPC department to drive product development through ongoing research activities, from mix design to R&D and commercialization.

You will assist in testing, evaluation of cement, sand and additives, perform lab and on-site work, maintain lab equipment, and contribute to weekly team meetings with local and overseas discussions.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structure, Materials Science or Chemical studies; fresh graduates may apply.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience; concrete mixture and development preferred.
• Responsible, attentive to details, hardworking, team player, positive attitude.
• Singaporean/PR only.

Responsibilities

• Assist in R&D of UHPC for infrastructure applications.
• Participate in all product/system activities from mix design to R&D to commercialization.
• Help evaluate and optimize cement, sand and supplementary materials into UHPC formulations.
• Perform laboratory tests related to concrete properties (mechanical and durability).
• Perform laboratory and on-site work.
• Be responsible for assigned lab equipment and tools.
• Provide daily progress updates to management.
• Participate in weekly UHPC team meetings and local/overseas discussions.
• Undertake other tasks assigned by management.

1. Purpose of job

Assistant Engineer in Infrastructural UHPC department helps developing the Company’s product by continuous research activities.

2. Subordination

The immediate supervisor of the Employee is Team Lead, Infrastructural UHPC.

The Employee may receive instructions and will report to the Director of research and development or other Employer’s management function representatives.

3. Primary duties and responsibilities

3.1. To assist in research and development of (nano-engineered) ultra high performance concrete products (UHPC) for infrastructure applications.

3.2. To actively participate in all product/system assigned activities (from mix design to R&D to commercialization).

3.3. To help evaluate and optimize construction materials e.g. cement, sand, supplementary contentious materials into various UHPC formulations.

3.4. To perform various laboratory tests related to concrete properties measurements (mechanical and durability testing etc.).

3.5. To perform laboratory and on-site work.

3.6. To be responsible for assigned lab equipment and tools.

3.7. To provide daily work progress update to the Employer’s management.

3.8. To participate in weekly UHPC team meetings and local/overseas discussions aimed at project planning, troubleshooting and other.

3.9. To undertake other tasks assigned by the Employer’s management.

4. Education and experience

4.1. A Degree/Diploma of Engineering in Civil/Structure, Material Science or Chemical studies / fresh graduates with keen interest in concrete R&D.

4.2. At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience. Experience in concrete mixture and concrete development is preferred.

4.3. Responsible, attentive to details, hardworking, team player, positive attitude.
