Job summary

Pan-united Concrete Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified Quality Control Engineer to support our Ready-Mixed Concrete operations and nationwide batching network.

You will conduct in-house testing, monitor material performance to international standards, and assist in quality control measures across batching plants and client sites. The role requires an engineering degree, strong English, and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines while liaising with customers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil or Mechanical.
• Entry-level applicants welcome.
• Familiar with concrete properties, admixtures and applications.
• Familiar with SSEN/ACI/ASTM/BS/EN standards or specifications.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Work at the heart of Ready-Mixed Concrete operations and our Innovation Centre and batching plants.
• Conduct regular in-house testing to monitor concrete materials and performance to international standards.
• Assist in all measures relating to product quality control.
• Liaise with customers to arrange deliveries and help meet production targets.
• Perform quality control at batching plants and client sites.
• Educate staff and drivers on the importance of concrete quality control.

Job description

• Work at the heart of our Ready-Mixed Concrete operations, world-class Innovation Centre, Command Centre and island-wide batching plants
• Conduct regular in-house testing to monitor concrete raw materials and product performance, in accordance with international test standards and specifications
• Assist in all measures relating to product quality control
• Liaise with customers to ensure deliveries are arranged accurately and production targets are met
• Perform quality control works at the batching plants and client site
• Ensure and maintain optimal quality of our concrete
• Perform quality control works at both batching plants and on site
• Ensure the quality of our concrete at our batching plants and educate staff and drivers on the importance of good quality control for concrete

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical)
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply
• Familiar with the fundamentals of concrete properties, admixture technologies and applications
• Familiar with SSEN, ACI, ASTM, and BS/EN standards or specifications for Civil Engineering and concrete
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Able to work independently with a positive attitude to deliver within tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
