Job summary

ceEntek Pte Ltd is seeking a Laboratory Technician for the UHPC Infrastructural dept in Singapore. You will support engineers in R&D, conduct material tests, demold samples, manage curing and testing, and maintain lab equipment and safety.

The role requires a technical diploma/NITEC and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with the ability to lift up to 20 kg and willingness to overtime for urgent projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in a technical field is required.
• 1-3 years of technician/production experience is preferred.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 20 kg.
• Willingness to work overtime for urgent project work.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in R&D activities in UHPC.
• Conduct in-house sample testing (compression, flexural, RCPT) and QC checks.
• Demold casted samples and prepare molds for new castings.
• Manage and track casted samples for curing and testing, including curing tank.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, molds and tools; keep area clean and safe.
• Record results on time and seek guidance from supervisors when needed.

About the role

Technician in the Infrastructural UHPC department supporting research and development activities, maintaining premises and equipment on a regular basis and assisting with other tasks regarding UHPC research, testing and development as provided by supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineers in their research and development activities
• Conduct in-house sample testing (compression, flexural, RCPT) and QC checks
• Demold casted samples and make molds available for new castings
• Manage and track casted samples for curing and testing, including curing tank
• Handle and manage research and development of raw materials (cement, sand, SCMs, admixtures and fibers), including topping supply bins, packing material into smaller packs
• Assist in keeping track of research and development material usage and inventory level
• Handle production of blended material for research and development, samples for potential clients or small volume sales to clients
• Maintain laboratory equipment, molds and tools
• Maintain cleanliness of sample storage, testing, casting area and UHPC laboratory
• Ensure safe workplace and always follow personal safety without any compromise
• Report results on time & seek advice from supervisor immediately if there is any dispute in the results
• Able to understand trouble shoot procedures if there are any issues with equipment or working place
• Maintain & monitor daily records such as Temperature, Humidity & PH in the curing areas
• Participate in continuous lab improvement activities
• Responsible for the regular handling, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 kg, while observing safe manual handling practices
• Can work overtime whenever it requires for urgent project work

About you

• Diploma or National ITE Certificate (NITEC) in a technical field of study
• 1-3 years working experience as a technician or production worker
