Monetary Authority of Singapore is seeking a role within the supervision team to perform firm-specific risk assessments and thematic analyses of investment intermediaries. The successful candidate will examine risk management practices and conduct-related risks while monitoring evolving models in the investment management industry.
The role requires strong data analytics skills, experience in regulatory environments, and the ability to deliver insights on tight timelines.
As a member of the supervision team, you will undertake firm-specific risk assessments and thematic or industry-wide analyses to evaluate the conduct of intermediaries and identify emerging trends or risks that may have implications for MAS’ objective of fostering safe and sound intermediaries that conduct their business fairly and transparently.
You will be part of a team responsible for the supervision of investment intermediaries. You are expected to develop a good understanding of their operations, risk management practices and conduct-related risks and mitigating measures. You will also need to keep pace with new developments and business models in the investment management industry.
As a member of the supervision team, you will undertake firm-specific risk assessments and thematic or industry-wide analyses to evaluate the conduct of intermediaries and identify emerging trends or risks that may have implications for MAS’ objective of fostering safe and sound intermediaries that conduct their business fairly and transparently. You may also be required to assess the effectiveness of intermediaries’ risk management frameworks and internal controls, as well as the adequacy of their market conduct practices.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
