Public Service Division is seeking a role in the supervision of investment intermediaries to conduct firm-specific risk assessments and thematic analyses. You will evaluate conduct, risk management, and internal controls while staying abreast of evolving business models in the investment management sector.
The role requires strong data analytics skills, written and verbal communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment.
As a member of the supervision team, you will undertake firm-specific risk assessments and thematic or industry-wide analyses to evaluate the conduct of intermediaries and identify emerging trends or risks that may have implications for MAS’ objective of fostering safe and sound intermediaries that conduct their business fairly and transparently.
You will be part of a team responsible for the supervision of investment intermediaries. You are expected to develop a good understanding of their operations, risk management practices and conduct-related risks and mitigating measures. You will also need to keep pace with new developments and business models in the investment management industry.
As a member of the supervision team, you will undertake firm-specific risk assessments and thematic or industry-wide analyses to evaluate the conduct of intermediaries and identify emerging trends or risks that may have implications for MAS’ objective of fostering safe and sound intermediaries that conduct their business fairly and transparently. You may also be required to assess the effectiveness of intermediaries’ risk management frameworks and internal controls, as well as the adequacy of their market conduct practices.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
This is a 1-year contract position. As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
