Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is recruiting an Assistant Chef for a 5 days a week position in Singapore, based at Somerset. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM with a 2.5-hour break; staff meals are provided during shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting the chef with daily food preparation, portioning ingredients, and supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods while maintaining clean, hygienic workstations and following proper food handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
• Experience with Korean cuisine is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen requirements.
• Assist with preparation of vegetables, sauces, noodles, dumplings and other menu items.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Ensure food preparation areas, kitchen equipment and workstations are kept clean and hygienic.
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients.
• Check food quality and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise food wastage.
• Perform other kitchen duties as required.
