Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore is seeking an AMHS AME to ensure uptime, reliability and continuous improvement of the Automated Material Handling System in a high-volume semiconductor fab.

You will collaborate with OHT, AMR, stockers and EFEM suppliers, drive RCA investigations, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime around the clock. The role emphasizes safety, SEMI standards, and cross-functional teamwork with fab operations and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own AMHS performance post-installation, maintaining uptime >99.9% to prevent wafer movement bottlenecks in production.
• Monitor OHT traffic, tower stocker utilization, and load port availability to optimize wafer delivery efficiency.
• Perform RCA on AMHS-related wafer delays, misprocessing, or contamination events using 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone methodologies.
• Provide rapid troubleshooting for OHT jams, vehicle deadlocks, RFID misreads, or load port misalignments to minimize wafer stuck time.
• Drive automation enhancements using lean program to reduce manual interventions.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to resolve wafer-handling-related defects (e.g., wafer breakage, misalignment).
• Assist engineer and participate in weekly AMHS supplier meetings to track defect rates, response times, and improvement actions.
• Work with fab operations, production planning, and process engineering to align AMHS performance.
• Provide training to technicians on AMHS recovery procedures and best practices.
