Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman seeks a buyside investment professional for Singapore-based permanent headcount to originate, evaluate and execute strategic investments across Asia-Pacific. You will assess strategic fit, commercial attractiveness and investment rationale, while coordinating due diligence with external advisers through signing and closing.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in PE/Strategic Investing/Corporate Development/Investment Banking, plus strong M&A modelling, commercial judgment, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Private Equity, Strategic Investing, Corporate Development or Investment Banking.
• Strong technical skills including M&A modelling.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to originate opportunities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Originate, evaluate and execute strategic investments across Asia-Pacific.
• Assess strategic fit, commercial attractiveness and investment rationale.
• Conduct financial modelling, projections and valuation analyses.
• Lead due diligence, transaction structuring and coordination with external advisers through signing and closing.
• Prepare Investment Committee and senior management materials, drive internal approvals.
• Support post-investment governance, monitoring and value creation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector developments and market trends.

• Originate, evaluate and execute strategic investments across Asia-Pacific.

• Prepare Investment Committee and senior management materials, drive internal approval processes
• Support post-investment governance, monitoring and long-term value creation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector developments, market trends, and competitor activity

Profile of Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in any of the following: Private Equity, Strategic Investing, Corporate Development, Investment Banking
• Strong technical skills (must be able to do M&A models), commercial judgment, ownership, and an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and originate investment opportunities
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across cultures, functions and seniority levels, with a genuine interest in long-term strategic investing and business building
• Excellent research and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and external stakeholders
