Job summary

ATOP Academy seeks a Teaching Intern for Secondary School Science to assist in planning and delivering lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus. You will reinforce Biology, Chemistry and Physics concepts, mark work, monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students in a supportive learning environment.

The role welcomes those pursuing or who have completed a science-related degree or education qualification and who are passionate about science education.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or has completed a qualification in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Education or related field.
• Strong knowledge and interest in Science, especially Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Familiarity with MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements is an advantage.
• Passion for Science, education and working with secondary students.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is advantageous but not required.
• Open to students, undergraduates, fresh graduates or those seeking teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering engaging Science lessons aligned with MOE syllabus.
• Teach and reinforce key scientific concepts across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Mark assignments, monitor progress and provide timely feedback.
• Create a positive, engaging, disciplined learning environment.
• Assist in developing worksheets, notes, revision materials and practice questions.
• Uphold teaching standards, values and commitment to academic excellence.
