Job summary

ATOP Academy PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a dedicated science tutor to deliver engaging lessons and support secondary students. The role covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or lower-secondary Science, with emphasis on inquiry, experiments, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate holds relevant education qualifications and a passion for teaching. Strong English skills and excellent communication with parents are essential. Prior tutoring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Strong subject knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Familiarity with Singapore MOE Secondary Science syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Passion for teaching and supporting secondary school students.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage but not required.
• Responsible, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to student success.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Sci lessons aligned with MOE syllabus.
• Assess learning needs and customise lesson plans.
• Teach Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or lower-secondary Science.
• Develop understanding of inquiry, experiments, data analysis, and practical applications.
• Guide students in structured, application-based, and calculation questions.
• Mark assignments, monitor progress, and provide feedback.
• Prepare students for assessments and national exams.
• Develop curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding progress.
• Develop teaching resources and materials.
• Uphold ATOP Academy’s teaching standards and commitment to academic excellence.
