Job summary

VISEO ASIA in Singapore is seeking a .NET Back-End Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain back-end systems powering our application, building APIs, integrating third-party services, and optimising database queries.

You will work with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), explore microservices and containerisation (Docker), and participate in code reviews and debugging acts to ensure high-quality code.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in C# and the .NET Core framework.
• Experience with ASP.NET, Web API, or other back-end web technologies.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools (e.g., Entity Framework).
• Understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
• Exposure to front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable back-end systems using C# and the .NET Framework
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest .NET technologies, best practices, and industry trends
• Document and communicate your work to the broader engineering team
