Job summary

Barnes Aerospace is seeking an expert Director, ASIA Procurement to lead the procurement of raw materials, goods and services for our engineered products. You will plan, schedule and monitor material movement through production and maintain inventory at target levels.

The role requires building real-time analytics, leading regional teams, and driving supplier performance, cost reductions, and on-time delivery across Asia. Travel up to 30% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ progressive procurement/materials leadership in aerospace or other complex, regulated manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success running multi-site P2P or tactical buying organizations (> $250 M annual spend).
• Expert knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Syteline, or equivalent) and advanced analytics tools (Power BI/Tableau; Excel).
• Lean/Six-Sigma practitioner with quantified cost, cycle-time, or inventory wins.
• Willing and able to travel up to 30% globally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation, analytical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• P2R Governance – design, document, and roll out standard requisition/PO processes and supplier management.
• Material Availability & Expediting – lead shortage management and escalate quickly.
• PO Execution Excellence – drive 100% PO accuracy and supplier confirmations within 48 hours.
• Performance Management & Analytics – build real-time dashboards for OTD, inventory turns, PPV, GR/IR aging.
• Continuous Improvement – champion Lean/Six-Sigma kaizens to reduce P2P cycle time.
• People & Change Leadership – lead tactical buyers/expediters and coach talent pipelines.
• Participate in supplier selections and onboarding for indirect spend and supplier consolidation.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions affecting cost, lead time, and availability.
