Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE in Singapore invites a Commodity Manager, Asia, to drive supplier development for aerospace direct and indirect spend. You will manage tier 1 supplier relationships, negotiate LTAs, and track cost reductions across sites while aligning with regional strategies.

This role requires travel of 15–25% and collaboration with global teams. The ideal candidate has MRP/supply chain experience, international trade knowledge (NAFTA/ITAR), and strong negotiation and customer service skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with NAFTA/ITAR and international trade regulations.
• Knowledge of REACH/RoHS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage aerospace direct & indirect commodity management for tier 1 suppliers.
• Negotiate Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with suppliers.
• Track and document cost reduction activities across multiple sites.
• Oversee MRO tooling contracts and revert metals contracts.
• Procure CapEx and services for facilities, equipment, and repairs.
• Lead supplier transitions to qualified sources.
• Support the VP Global Supply Chain in contract negotiations and implementation.
• Create direct and indirect regional/global commodity strategies.
• Lead logistics initiatives and indirect procurement/training of staff.
• Support failure analysis and corrective action with suppliers.
