Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Singapore is seeking a Commodity Manager for Asia to develop and manage direct and indirect supplier relationships across the region. You will drive LTAs, monitor cost-reduction initiatives, and oversee MRO tooling and capital expenditures to ensure strategic supplier alignment.

Role involves coordinating with global teams, optimizing inventories, and delivering measurable savings while maintaining supplier performance. Travel 15-25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP systems is required.
• Global logistics knowledge and ITAR/NAFTA familiarity preferred.
• Six Sigma, ACE or LEAN experience is desirable.
• APICS/CPIM training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage aerospace direct and indirect commodity management for tier 1 suppliers.
• Negotiate long-term agreements (LTAs) and track cost reduction activities.
• Oversee MRO tooling contracts, revert metals contracts, CapEx procurement.
• Lead supplier transitions to qualified sources and support contract closures.
• Develop regional and global commodity strategies and metrics.
• Support logistics, indirect procurement, and training across the supply chain.
