Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced AS/400 specialist to provide Level 2/3 support for production incidents in highly sensitive financial environments, often across multiple global sites.

You will design and maintain software modules using RPG (III, IV, Free Form) and CL, perform OS upgrades and patch management, and lead the development of post-trade applications for trade matching, settlement, and payment processing.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in technical support with trading or financial services applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in implementing and managing AS/400 systems.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2/400 and SQL for financial transaction mapping.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards and MQ integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for production incidents in sensitive financial environments across global sites.
• Design and maintain software modules using RPG (III, IV, Free Form) and CL.
• Perform OS upgrades, managing LPAR configurations and patch management.
• Enhance the AS400 system by developing and refreshing processes for performance.
• Lead design and development of post-trade applications for trade matching, settlement, and payments.
• Automate and streamline post-execution operations including trade booking and intercompany settlements.
• Integrate legacy AS/400 apps with modern platforms using APIs, web services, or middleware like IBM App Connect Enterprise or MQ.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements for data integrity, security, hardening and disaster recovery.
• Coordinate testing, approvals and deployment of enhancements with post-deployment verifications.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks such as reports and data analysis on request.
• Monitor performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for production incidents in highly sensitive financial environments, often across multiple global sites
• Designing and maintaining software modules using languages like RPG (III, IV, Free Form) and CL.
• Performing OS upgrades, managing LPAR configurations, and handling patch management to ensure system stability.
• Enhance the AS400 system by developing new process, and refreshing existing process to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead the design and development of critical post-trade applications used for trade matching, settlement, and payment processing.
• Automate and streamline complex post-execution operations, including trade booking, intercompany settlements, and connectivity to global exchanges or clearing houses.
• Lead initiatives to integrate legacy AS/400 applications with modern platforms using APIs, web services, or middleware like IBM App Connect Enterprise or MQ.
• Ensure systems meet stringent regulatory requirements for data integrity, security, security hardening and disaster recovery.
• Coordinate overall testing, approval and deployment of new enhancements, including post-deployment verifications.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks such as generating reports and providing custom data analysis upon request.
• Keep an eye of application’s performance, identify areas for improvement, and take proactive steps to prevent future issues.
