Job summary

HG Works in Singapore seeks an Architectural Assistant who enjoys both design and construction, guiding projects from drawings to handover. You will support design development, prepare construction drawings in AutoCAD, and create 3D models and visuals using SketchUp, Lumion, and the Adobe suite.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and site teams, join coordination meetings, and perform site inspections.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture or Architectural Studies (a Master’s is a plus).
• 2+ years’ experience with an architectural, interior design or construction firm.
• Strong in AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Support design development from concept through to detailed construction drawings.
• Prepare construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation in AutoCAD.
• Produce 3D models, renders and presentation material (SketchUp, Lumion, D5, Adobe Suite) for clients, tenders and design reviews.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve design and technical issues.

• Assist with defect inspections and reporting before handover.
• Support tender submissions with drawings, visuals and documentation.
• Help with interior design proposals and space planning where needed

About us

HG Works is a main contractor delivering landed residential projects across Singapore, including detached and semi-detached houses, reconstructions and A&A works. We’re looking for an Architectural Assistant who enjoys both design and construction, and wants to see projects through from drawings to handover.

What you’ll do

• Support design development from concept through to detailed construction drawings
• Prepare construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation in AutoCAD
• Produce 3D models, renders and presentation material (SketchUp, Lumion, D5, Adobe Suite) for clients, tenders and design reviews

What we’re looking for

• Strong in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Comfortable with Lumion or D5, and Photoshop or InDesign; Revit or ArchiCAD is a plus
• Experience with residential projects (landed or high-rise) is preferred
• Able to read and coordinate architectural, structural and M&E drawings
• Detail-oriented, with good time management and the ability to handle several projects at once
• Good communication skills with clients, consultants and site teams
• Proficiency in English is an advantage when liaising with site teams and suppliers
