Job summary

EXYTE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an Architectural professional to design, detail and tender architectural packages for Advanced Technology and Life Science projects. You will liaise with the client, coordinate across disciplines, and manage on-site contracts from inception to handover.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong technical writing, and thorough knowledge of Singapore codes and authorities’ submission procedures. Mentoring of junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in design or construction.
• Experience on fast-track projects preferred.
• Knowledge of architectural systems and Singapore codes.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, detail, specify and assist tendering the full range of Architectural packages.
• Liaise with client teams on design issues.
• Coordinate between disciplines.
• Administer architectural sub-contractor contracts on site from inception to handover.
• Assist site personnel on technical and coordination issues for design and construction.
• Communicate clearly on all architecture matters.
• Take conceptual design through to implementation and handover.
• Ensure designs comply with local authorities' codes.
• Produce tender specifications.
• Progress design elements per the Design Checklist.
• Mentor Architectural Designers/Graduate Architects for expansion.
• Ensure Architectural Supervisor has current approved plans and shop drawings.
• Ensure System Supervisor is briefed on awarded scope and revisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, Detail, Specify and assist tendering the full range of Architectural packages for Advanced Technology, Life ScienceProjects;
• Liaise with the client team on design issues;
• Coordinate between other disciplines;
• Administer the Architectural sub-contractor contracts on site from inception to handover;
• Assist site personnel on technical and coordination issues for both design and construction;
• Ability to communicate clearly on all architecture matters;
• Taking the conceptual design through to implementation and handover;
• Ensure that all design is in compliance with local authorities’ code.
• Production of tender specifications;
• Progressing elements of design in-line with the Design Checklist;
• Mentoring of Architectural Designers/Graduate Architects with the intent of securing properly trained personnel for the continual expansion of the company;
• Ensuring Architectural Supervisor is provided with the current approved plans and shop drawings;
• Ensuring System Supervisor is fully briefed on the awarded scope of work, the tender technical documents and all contractual revisions to tender documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Architectural
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in design and/or construction of Architectural services systems in both design and construction, preferably with some “Fast Track Project” experience.
• Possess good knowledge of architectural systems
• Possess good technical writing skills
• Good Knowledge of Singapore Codes and Standards and Authorities’ Submission Procedure.
