Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a GIS data specialist to ensure digital network maps accurately reflect built telecom infrastructure in Singapore. You will manage GIS updates, aligned with project timelines and as-built drawings, and update parameters for cables, ducts, and joints in the GIS system.

The role requires reading engineering/CAD drawings, understanding fibre optics, and strong Excel skills, with onsite travel as needed to coordinate with stakeholders and system owners.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, Smallworld or QGIS).
• Understanding telecom fibre network topology.
• Ability to read engineering/CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of fibre optic infrastructure (cables, ducts, joint closures).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel onsite.

• Own end-to-end data consistency; initiate, track, and verify updates.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and system owners for timely updates.
• Investigate data mismatches; analyze and propose corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that the company's digital network maps accurately reflect the physical telecommunications infrastructure that has been built
• Complete GIS updates according to project schedules and deadlines.
• Utilize the GIS system and company portal to update parameters for cables, joint closures, pipes, and ducts routing per as-built drawings.
• Understand cable connectivity concepts and pipe test reports, updating related information in the GIS system
• Ensure all updates adhere to established drafting standards, including formatting, naming conventions, layering, and title block information
• Ensure that all GIS updates are accurately reflected and aligned across all relevant downstream systems and platforms.
• Take ownership of end-to-end data consistency across systems, including initiating, tracking, and verifying update processes
• Coordinate with stakeholders and system owners to ensure timely and accurate updates across all systems
• Investigate and resolve data mismatches, perform analysis, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Requirements
